No One Accidentally Gets in Shape

And sometimes what we think gets in the way of what we want. Especially when it comes to taking better care of ourselves.

Does your mind's soundtrack sound like this?

✅ I don’t have enough time to exercise, and unless I can do it five times a week it’s not worth it;
✅ I need to be in better shape to start (insert healthy activity here);
✅ I am not even sure how to start taking care of myself.
When it comes to making change, FEAR is free and hope takes work. And it’s ok if fear gets a voice but it doesn’t deserve a vote.

You can actually retire an outdated soundtrack but it’s helpful if you replace it with something that is true, helpful or kind.  You can wake up in the morning and be proud of yourself for any number of healthy choices.

Community helps, too. Let your friends know you are working on being healthier in body and mind. Good friends will nudge you in the right direction and support you while you do it.

I used to think my goal was 100% self-awareness. Now I know that goal is 100% unattainable. When I stand too close to my own painting (metaphorically) I can’t see it clearly. My friends sharpen my vision.

You get to decide which thoughts you dance with, and you get to decide how you feel every day.

Choose wisely.

Here to support your journey always,

Lauren
