Let’s face it, most people in the wellness field have no idea what it feels like to be overweight.

I was always a bigger kid and when I was 15, I weighed 180 pounds.

While trying on outfits in a department store dressing room to wear to my brother’s Bar Mitzvah I sobbed uncontrollably. Even a size 14 was too small. I felt I would never be comfortable in my own skin.

I believed I would never be accepted unless I fit in. Literally.

I battled weight for more than half my life in what became a painfully familiar cycle. My happiness was tied to a number.

Seeking self-worth on a scale felt like being in prison.

I yo-yo dieted my way through my teens and twenties, losing and gaining more than 100 pounds.

Until... I decided to teach myself how to eat. I didn’t know what to eat yet, but I knew I was eating too much food. I started with half of everything.

I learned about the foods that nourished and fueled my body and shifted my mindset from food as comfort to food as fuel. Later in life I went back to school to learn much more about Integrative Nutrition.

Now I have the privilege every day to teach people how to change their relationship with food, shift how they think about exercise and become mindful in all aspects of their lives.

Their experiences and journeys are unique to them. But I understand their challenges.

After all, I’ve been there, too. If you are considering getting help to lose weight and take better care of yourself, wouldn’t you prefer to get directions from someone who’s been there?

You’re not meant to do this life alone. The journey being human can be hard, that’s why there are coaches.

Feel free to reach out - I can 1-2 more clients before summer.
