I’ve been thinking a lot about discomfort lately!

Moving to Los Angeles makes you soft (me really).

I don’t have to experience frigid weather or too much rain and as a result, I am less accustomed to being out of my comfort zone.

Here’s why our ability to embrace discomfort matters:

Putting yourself in new and unfamiliar situations triggers a unique part of the brain that releases dopamine, nature's make-you-happy chemical.

AND IF WANT SOMETHING DIFFERENT IN YOUR HEALTH OR YOUR LIFE YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT

Being comfortable may be nice, but it won’t help you:

🦋 Grow as a human
🦋 Put on muscle
🦋 Lose weight
🦋 Make new friends
🦋 Date
🦋 Get divorced or remarried
🦋 Switch jobs
🦋 Move cities

The caterpillar in the chrysalis only becomes beautiful in her (or his or their) struggle to emerge - they won’t live without it.

Embrace the struggle or reach out for help! You’re not meant to do this life alone.

Comment below 👇 if this resonates; The older we are the harder it is to be uncomfortable.
