64% of Americans Say They Don’t Have Time to Take Care of Themselves
AND ONLY 12% ARE METABOLICALLY HEALTHY
ADD THOSE TWO NUMBERS TOGETHER AND YOU GET A HEALTH EPIDEMIC.
And I have a solution: Rather than wait for the next storm, let’s fix the roof while it’s sunny.
The same survey that found that nearly two out of three of us are too busy to take care of ourselves also revealed that people would be willing to pay $22,400 a year to be healthy all the time.
And yes, you can pay coaches, trainers, chefs, mediation teachers, pilates instructors and others to help you make a plan. But you will still need to make the time to implement it.
Success requires:
✅ A forever food plan, with real food (DM me about this; I don’t believe in diets)
✅ A weekly exercise schedule that is sustainable (at least 4x a week)
✅ 7-9 hours of good sleep each night
✅ At least an hour of sunlight
✅ 80 oz of water daily
✅ Meditation or journaling to help process emotion and manage stress
If you still don’t think you have time to take care of yourself, check your screen time app. Most people spend 3 hours and 15 minutes on their phones per day & check their devices 58 times.
