What We Know Getting in the Way of What We Need to Learn

HAVE YOU EVER NOTICED THAT WHAT WE KNOW GETS IN THE WAY OF WHAT WE NEED TO LEARN?

When we’re young making mistakes isn’t scary, it's just what we do.

I heard a story about a little boy sitting in the back of a classroom drawing. The teacher came over and asked him what he was drawing, “GOD”, he said. “No one knows what GOD looks like,” the teacher said, to which they boy replied, “They will in a minute.”

Beginner’s mind helps us change bad habits. “You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it” Albert Einstein.

As a coach, I help people act their way into a new way of thinking and it can take up to six months to make the habit changes required to lose weight, build a regular exercise regimen and stop believing everything you think.

If you are considering hiring someone to help you get healthy, launch a business, leave a relationship or live your best life, remember: you need to do something different if you want something different.

It’s all simple, but not so easy (which is why I have a job.)

The accountability can be fun, too. We use an app called Voxer in between sessions. Clients have access to it 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week to ask for advice, recipes, review menu options for restaurants, drop in exercise stats, weigh in, talk about what’s working (and what isn’t) and just feel supported.

DM me if you want to discuss ANYTHING, but be ready to make changes.
